Browse for resources
When you do not know keywords in the description record or the item’s Barcode, District Identifier, Purchase Order, or Serial Number, you can use Browse Resources to search for resources by type.
Browse Resources lets you drill down through an expandable list until the search results screen appears. If you have been assigned to a resource group, you will only be able to browse resources within that group.
note: If you had Asset Manager prior to Destiny 12.5 and created a textbook template, the upgrade to Destiny v12.5 renames the pre-existing template "Textbooks". |
Important: If a district has any Destiny Textbook Manager installations, all textbook-related features are hidden in Resource Manager. |
To browse your resources:
- Select Catalog > Resource Search > Browse Resources sub-tab.
- If available, use the Look in drop-down to search the entire district, the advance booking site, the district warehouse, or a specific school type within the district.
- Use the plus and minus signs to expand or contract the groups in the resource tree, and drill into each group.
Note: This is a “sticky” feature, meaning the screen stays as you left it. So the next time you access Browse Resources, any group you expanded is still expanded. - In Search Results, find the resource you want, and then click Details.
- On the Resource Details sub-tab:
- You can add the resource to your Resource List by clicking Add to this list. See Resource Details tab (Resource Manager).
- To view all related resources, click See all….
- See Items tab / Media tab (Resource Manager).
