Add or edit district copies (Library Manager)
For a district-level user, the Add Copies page lets you enter copy-specific information for the materials in your district collection. As with site-level users, the only required fields are Number of copies, Starting Barcode, and Call Number. Use the remainder of the fields as needed.
In the Status field, selections include:
- Available
- In Processing
- Loaned Out
- Out for repairs

If you want to print barcode, spine, or pocket labels for the copies, select the Print labels checkbox.
After entering the appropriate copy information, click Save Copies.
Note: Only a district-level user with Manage Library Materials for the District permissions can transfer copies. |
Add and transfer copies
- Based on how Destiny is set up at your district, do one of the following:
- Select > District Back Office.
- From the top-right corner, click District.
- Select Catalog > Add Title > Check Sources sub-tab, and search for the copy.
- From the Search Results page, click Details.
- The Title Details page opens with additional information about the item. Click Add Copies to add a copy to this record.
- Select the Site Type and Site Name of the school that is to receive the copies.
- Use the copy Status drop-down to select In Transit.
- Select one of the following at the Barcode drop-down:
- Choose the first option, and enter the starting barcode by typing in the number or scanning the physical barcode.
- Choose the first option, and leave the barcode field blank. This lets the destination school assign its own barcode numbers when receiving the copies.
- Choose Assign next barcode to have Destiny automatically assign the barcode numbers.
- (Optional) Select or enter any other information for the copies.
- Click Save Copies.
Destiny creates the copies and automatically transfers them to the school selected in the Site Name drop-down.
- You can track the in-transit copies on the Copies sub-tab of the title record.
- To see a list of your in-transit copies, you can print a list of library copies in transit.
- The destination school can receive the copies and assign barcodes to them on the Receive sub-tab of Update Copies.
- If an In Transit copy already has a barcode, the destination school can check it in or check it out in Circulation to receive it.
- You can track the in-transit copies on the Copies sub-tab of the title record.
If you want to transfer an existing copy, select the Site Type and Site Name of the school that is to own the copy, and click Save Copy on the Edit Copy page.
